Quoin helped build new e-commerce websites for this leading educational publisher, in addition to leading the implementation of the Jahia Enterprise Content Manage System to support different imprints. We have also consulted on various process improvement initiatives at HMH, enabling this prominent organization’s IT teams, to become more agile and productive.
An eminent global educational publisher, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt (HMH) offers best-in-class print materials and innovative online solutions. HMH engaged Quoin on a 6-month initiative to train, manage, and support multiple in-house project teams redeveloping websites for the company’s flagship K-12 site, HMHEducation.com, and for SkillsTutor.com. We rapidly established the infrastructure and processes necessary to equip HMH staff with the skills needed for these mission-critical web projects.
Our team defined a lightweight, methodology-oriented process based on the public-domain SCRUM methodology, and we trained the process design team in its use. HMH’s central project management office has since asked Quoin to lead several process improvement initiatives, and we continue to provide agile training to the process design team.
