MIT Press relied on Quoin to re-engineer its website and eCommerce platform for academic journals as part of a continuing initiative to streamline operations, improve performance, support new ordering features, and improve customer engagement.
MIT Press is a leading academic publisher that delivers innovative content in science, technology, arts, and humanities. Publishing over thirty titles, the Press delivers print and digital journals to academic and general-interest readers. Quoin was engaged to re-engineer the existing e-commerce website and support eCommerce infrastructure for Journals following a Freemium model for content subscription services. This project was part of a continuing initiative to streamline operations, improve performance, support new ordering features, and improve customer engagement. Our team completed an analysis of the current system and defined the requirements and technical architecture for the redesign of the website. The next phase of the project focused on creating a more effective user experience and integrating with third-party order management and fulfillment platforms. We continued to collaborate with MIT Press stakeholders to implement enhancements and support the production system.
